Dr. Dimitrios “Jimmy” Kilimitzoglou
DDS, FACD, FPFA, DABOI, MAGD, FAAID, FICOI
Dimitrios "Jimmy" Kilimitzoglou, DDS, DABOI, MAGD, FICOI, FAAID, is a distinguished alumnus of Stony Brook University's School of Dental Medicine, where he completed his degree in 2002. Before his dental education, he excelled at Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Kilimitzoglou honed his skills further through a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at SUNY Stony Brook, gaining comprehensive surgical and restorative implant training, followed by a yearlong Oral Implantology program at NYU College of Dentistry and a two-year orthodontic program at the United States Dental Institute. His research on whitening agents and composite materials has been published and presented at national dental conferences.
Dr. Kilimitzoglou is committed to continuous learning, attending various courses to provide cutting-edge dental care. He specializes in sedation, implant surgery and restoration, Invisalign, pediatric dentistry, single visit crowns, porcelain fillings with CEREC, laser dentistry, and cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry.
He holds prestigious positions such as Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, Master of the Academy of General Dentistry, and Fellow of several respected dental associations. His dedication to the field has been recognized with awards like BENCO's 40 under 40 and Stony Brook University's 40 under 40, along with the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year award from Stony Brook University's School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Kilimitzoglou is an Associate Clinical Professor at Stony Brook University, directing seminars and founding the Dimitrios Kilimitzoglou Pioneer in Dentistry Award, among other scholarships promoting excellence and service in dentistry. His involvement extends to serving on the Admissions Committee and leading humanitarian dental missions.
Aside from his professional achievements, Dr. Kilimitzoglou has a rich background as a chef, SCUBA Divemaster, musician, martial artist, and sports coach, reflecting his passion for life and commitment to community.
